Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AiKitchen (the "Service"), provided by AiKitchenUSA LLC. By using the Service — including the limited guest snaps available before you create an account — you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from the "Account termination and deletion" section below.

Basic plan and Premium

• You can try the Service as a guest, without an account, for 2 AI photo scans total. Guest results are not saved and the count is kept on your device.
• The Basic (free) plan includes 3 AI photo scans, plus manual inventory, saved recipes, shopping list and nutrition goals.
• Premium is $3.99 per month or $15.99 per year (founding member rate) and unlocks unlimited AI photo scans, the meal planner, expiration warnings and additional AI features.
• Basic also includes a limited number of "add missing ingredient to shopping list" additions; Premium removes that cap.
• Eligible new subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial, once per user. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically to the paid plan you selected — $3.99/month or $15.99/year — charged to your payment method.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, matching your plan) until you cancel. Prices are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.

Cancellation and refunds

• Cancel any time entirely within the app from the Billing page ("Cancel subscription"), which guides you through a short confirmation and opens the self-serve billing portal — no email, phone call, or chat required.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium access until then.
• Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. If you were charged in error, contact us.
• If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's billing and refund rules apply and you manage the subscription in your store account.

AI-generated content — important limitations

• Item recognition, expiration estimates, recipes and nutrition figures are generated by an AI model and are estimates, not professional advice.
• Expiration dates are best guesses from typical shelf life. Always use your own judgment and standard food-safety practices; do not rely on AiKitchen to decide whether food is safe to eat.
• Recipes may not account for allergens, cross-contamination, or medical dietary needs. Check ingredient labels yourself if you have an allergy or medical condition.
• Nutrition estimates are not medical or dietetic advice. Consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload images containing other people's private information, or content you have no right to submit.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, scrape or abuse the Service or its AI endpoints.
• Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to operate the Service (identify items and generate recipes) as described in the Privacy Policy. Original scan photos are not retained by default; information extracted from them may be saved to personalize your kitchen.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change or remove features, and we may impose reasonable limits to protect the Service. We will give notice of material changes to paid features or pricing before they affect you.

Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including food spoilage, illness resulting from ignoring your own judgment on food safety, or lost data.

Account termination and deletion

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

• Removing or uninstalling the app from your phone does not delete your account and does not cancel a subscription. Premium keeps renewing until you cancel it through the supported billing path.
• If you no longer want to pay, you do not have to delete your account: Basic is $0 and requires no payment.
• If you have an active Premium subscription, cancel it first so you are never charged after your account is gone.
• Deleting your account is permanent and erases your inventory, recipes, plans, notifications and history.
